Fuzzy Matching
Fuzzy matching is a method for matching two searches that are not 100% the same.
Fuzzy matching technology is the reason you get relevant results, even if you have a typo in your address query.
It detects missing letters, spaces, transposed letters, misspellings, and abbreviations (i.e. 0/O, apt, Blud, #, str.) to provide cleaner, more accurate results - particularly for mobiles and tablets which may produce more typos. So searching for Pensylvania Ave, Washington, by accident will still bring up Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington as a result. We call this ‘fuzzy’ error prevention.
